Halloween Events in The Woodlands This Weekend

Halloween is Saturday night and there are plenty of activities and events slated for the occasion. Here you’ll find a no-fluff rundown:

“Forest of Phobias” – Haunted Trail at the Bear Branch Recreation Center

  • Recommended for ages 9 and older.
  • Tickets are $8 per person
  • Friday, October 30th from 8-10pm and again on Halloween night, October 31st from 8-10pm.

Trick or Treat Trail at Town Green Park

  • Free Event for all ages.
  • Attendees encouraged to “dress in their Halloween best!”
  • Local vendors are sponsoring the event, meaning the little ones will be able to trick or treat from booth to booth and fill their bags with treats!
  • Children’s events, strolling entertainment, inflatables and costume contests
  • Event draws over a thousand attendees every year!
  • Saturday, October 31st from 1-4pm
  • *This event was rescheduled due to inclement weather last week*

Halloween Mini-Con at the South Regional Branch Library in The Woodlands

  • Cosplayers, Comic Fans, Gamers, Anime fans and others can finally unite in The Woodlands.
  • Events include Thunderstudies Taiko Drum Performance, Cosplay Chess, a Cosplay Runway, Miniature Paint and Take, and a Zombie Walk.
  • There will also be Panels on How to Draw Comics, Cosplay on the Cheap, and a Worbla Demo.
  • “Costumes are encouraged, but must be kept family-friendly. No prop guns or blasters are allowed; lightsabers are fine.”
  • MiniCon will take place Saturday, October 31st from 1-4pm.

The Woodlands Children’s Museum Annual SpookTacular Event

  • The Original SpookTacular Monster Mash party will encompass a theme of whimsical monsters throughout decorations and projects.
  • “Since the museum caters to young children, nothing will be scary.
  • There will be child-friendly games, art projects and activities and more.
  • Performances of Halloween Magic by David Hinkin will be performed every hour starting from 4:30pm up until the last show at 7:30pm.
  • Saturday October 31st, 4-8pm.
  • Cost is $7 for members and $9 for non-members. (Parents are just $1)

Lastly, some Halloween tips. Wear comfortable shoes to ensure your trip isn’t cut short with achy feet. Carry a flashlight and be careful of cars after dark. Finally, when you get home, check your kids candy to make sure everything is sealed.
